What to know about Tobacco.
Tobacco in perfumery is the cured, dried leaf — not the lit cigarette. Solvent-extracted into a thick brown absolute, it smells of honey, hay, old leather, dried fruit and warm wood. Perfumers use it for its enveloping, masculine sweetness.
