Born in Morocco to a Corsican family, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato’s formative years were steeped in the vibrant olfactory tapestry of citrus groves and the aromatic Corsican maquis. His initial aspirations veered towards equestrianism before pivoting to a scientific pursuit. He attained a doctorate in chemistry, conducting extensive research into aromatic plant materials, laying a robust foundation for his future in perfumery.

03 · Practice

After a period engaged in academic research, Corticchiato launched his own fragrance brand, Parfum d’Empire, in 2003. Here, he masterfully translates his scientific acumen and passion for the natural world into scent. He creates fragrances that often draw inspiration from historical narratives and diverse cultural explorations, distinguished by their emphasis on high-quality botanical raw materials and a refined blend of precision and artistry.
