Born and raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of Paris, Bérénice Watteau cultivated a profound appreciation for scent from an early age. Her academic pursuits led her to a degree in chemistry, followed by specialised training at the renowned ISIPCA, from which she graduated in 2014. Her career began at Puig in Barcelona as a junior perfumer, establishing foundational industry experience before her move to dsm-firmenich in 2019.

Watteau's creative perspective has been profoundly shaped by international experiences, including journeys through Ethiopia, India, and Myanmar, which expanded her understanding of aromatic profiles. A subsequent relocation to New York further stimulated her artistic expression. She possesses a distinctive approach to fragrance creation, expertly balancing disparate notes to achieve striking and cohesive compositions, often incorporating ingredients like Ambrox® for its multifaceted character.
